No plastic sticks used for ear cleaning

The new legislation, which was introduced for the first time in the Scottish Parliament in September, has now entered into force, preventing their production and sale.

Rosena Cunningham, an environmental secretary, said she's proud that the Scottish government stopped this.

The single-use plastic products are not in vain, but make beaches and green spaces feel threatened”, Cunningham said.

Over the past three months alone, about 150,000 plastic sticks have been cleaned in Scotland on its beaches.
