According to a new report, it is young people who feel more alone than older generations.
Poll performed by “YouGov”, with more than 2,000 adult Britons, has found that 31% of people aged 18-24 have reported feeling lonely often or at all, compared to 17% of 55-year-olds.
Since 24% of young people have admitted that they suffer from loneliness at some stage of their life, 7% have said they feel lonely every day.
In contrast, only 2% of older generations have reported feeling alone all the time.
The research company has suggested that these results can be interconnected with the new “fix1> young people face for the first time, such as moving from home or starting a new job.
The survey has also highlighted the fact that establishing association with new ones is more difficult for young people.
