As DUI reports, Ahmeti and US authorities exchanged thoughts on political developments in northern Macedonia, NATO membership, as well as early elections.
Ahmeti stressed that DUI is the guarantor of the Prespa, Ohrid Agreement and the good neighbourly agreement with Bulgaria from which there is no going back under any circumstances.
The DUI's “Lander Ahmeti thanked the US authorities for having made great contributions to our efforts to get the date for starting negotiations with the European Union, but still more for the excellent performance of our NATO membership in the following months.
The US fully supports Northern Macedonia's Euro-Atlantic efforts and reforms in the country, in particular in the rule of law.
The meeting also discussed the reforms highlighted under the Democratic Union for Integration, as well as early parliamentary elections”, the report said.
