A Nepal climber simultaneously and former United Kingdom soldier has climbed the world's 14 highest peaks within seven months, beating an earlier record of almost eight years.
Nirmal Purja reached the top of Mount 14 -- the Shishapangma mountain in China on Tuesday morning.
Purja, 36, joined the British Army in 2003.
His climbing career began when he went to Everest's base camp in 2012, while instead of returning as planned, he decided to climb all over the mountain, the BBC writes.
He is already the bearer of numerous records, including “duertin” faster than two mountains at 8,000 meters. /Periscopi/
