Medical officer impervious to Kosovo patient sentenced to prison in Macedonia

The US Hospital's cadigologist in Kosovo, Dredonas Sasho Josimovski, who allegedly placed a battery and two indispensable stenta to the Kosovo patient, has been convicted and imprisoned in Macedonia for misuse of official office.
The Sinal newspaper reports that on October 22, 2012, Sasho Josimovski was sentenced to two and a half years in prison by the Founding Court in Macedonia, in the case known as “Mestaza”, where he was charged with joint criminal enterprise 38 people, including doctors, pension officials and limited capacity and mediators.
Although it is past criminal record, this cardiologist has been practicing his profession for years at the American Hospital in Kosovo, treating Kosovo patients who have sought recovery at this private health institution, writes the Signal newspaper.
What had happened?
The trial had begun in early 2010 and had lasted about two and a half years until October 2012 when the condemned act had been declared.
The doctor from Cardiology Clinic, Sasho Josimovski, at the time of 37 years, had been chairman of the Commission for Review and Confirmation of the disability at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.
According to the indictment, he, along with other doctors and officials of the Pension Fund and Limited Protection Security, were charged with joint criminal enterprise and misuse of official office.
They had issued false diagnosiss to patients to ensure that they had access to limited capacity (invalidor) and had recruited mediators to take bribes with the aim of profiting large money.
The 264 - page indictment, among other things, includes statements of forty witnesses who explain the way the accused had demanded between 1,500 and 45,000 euros to issue disability pensions.
The criminal group, which was formed by doctor Sasho Josimovski in 2008, is suspected that for two years the operation had benefited 165,000 euros and damaged the Fund of about 250,000 euros.
From the statement of the endangered witness, the court had found that he knew the organisational document board, which applicants paid between 3,000 and 3,500 euros, be it sick or healthy. 1,200 euros went to the commission, and the rest separated the mediators and doctors who wrote diagnosis. Some of the witnesses had never been to a doctor, nor had they been on a commission, yet they had retired from disability.

Despite this past criminal record and prison sentence, cardiologist Sasho Josimovski has been working at the American Hospital in Kosovo for years allegedly granted approval for the deployment of a permanent heart electrostimulator and two Kosovo patient coronent stations with the initials, St. St.
After two days, the patient is reported to have gone to CKUK and requested a professional opinion on the problem. After the file was checked, it has been found that the stents and ectrosmulators are suspected to have been deployed unnecessarily.
About this case, Tefik Bektesh, the director of the Cardiodrogy Clinic with Invasive Cardiology, who has initiated a letter to the Prosecutor's Office, the Oda of Kosovo Doctors and the Health Inspectorate, through which he has denounced alleged violations of ethics and profession.
