Kurdish women appeal to the world: Help us, we will fight to the end

Now they call on the whole world: “we as women are determined to fight until we achieve victory and peace, freedom and justice”, they say.

“We, women of different cultures and faiths from ancient Mesopotamian lands, appeal to all the peoples of the world who love freedom”, is the title of the open letter they have written to international newspapers.

They call for the prevention of attacks by Turkey in order to avoid further war crimes and ethnic cleansing.

“We write from the middle of the war in northeastern Syria, forced by the Turkish state, on land where we are autochthon”, they say.

“We are looking at how Christian churches are being bombarded and killed by our Christian brothers and sisters, whose ancestors survived the genocide of 1915 and are now killed by the army of Erdogan's new Ottoman empire. Two years ago we saw how the Turkish state built a 620km-long wall along the border to force the division of our country and not allow refugees to enter Europe”, they say, as they call on Western countries for help, saying they themselves will continue to fight to the end.
