Prototype AM Gladiator, modified by AM General, is a return to the brand's military roots. It's a light tactical vehicle based on a truck-up Jeep Gladiator.

The new military jeep is equipped with reinforced paracola, front guard equipment and side of the vehicle (where they are located instead of the classic door). Moreover, Gladiator XMT has special BFGoodrich tires.

According to AM General, this vehicle is a prototype and a production version is scheduled for 2020.

As far as motorisation is concerned, besides gasoline of 3.6 liters of Pentastar V6 with 290 horse power, Jeep will also provide a diesel version enabled by a 3.0 engine. Echo Diesel V6 providing 264 horsepower.
