According to a report quoting domestic resources, Apple may have sold about 130,000 iPhones, as this is the number of devices that have been activated.
Industry users said local consumers were evidently driven by positive responses from the US. and Japan, where iPhone 11s was launched a month earlier than South Korea, writes The Korea Herald.
While this is undoubtedly a good increase of 30 per cent against the performance of the first day of 2018, it is not much compared to Samsung Galaxy Note10, which sold about 220,000 units on the first day.
