Harsh Internet criticism: Always Forced to Change Package

The Always company will remove the female symbol from the package, as a result of numerous online criticisms. Procter & Gamble, the brand's mother company, said it would remove the sign of Venus (the female symbol) early in December and all personal hygiene products, including the lines, will have new designs within February, 2020.

The decision resulted in criticism from transgiar people and those who have not established their gender.

Could someone tell me why Always has to have a woman's symbol on any of their products? “There are people who haven't defined gender as well as transformers who have to use your products, just so you know. ”

Procter & Gamble explained their decision through a statement:

For more than 35 years, Always has had the center of campaigns girls and women and we will continue to do so. But we are also committed to diversity and inclusion and are on a continuous path to understanding the needs of our consumers. ”

LGBBTQ+ health experts praised the company's decision.

“This is an excellent act,” said for NBC Jack Turban, a psychiatrist department expert at Harvard Medical School. “First of all, the character is unnecessary. Second, it sends a message to transgenders and non-binarians who need these products for their identity to be embraced and supported by the company. ”
