Bledar Hamza is one of the Albanians allegedly killed during fighting in Syria about 5 years ago.
The 28-year-old, senior graduate of the finance branch in the Italian state, was recruited and fled to Syria, where he took his wife and daughter along, while another girl brought her into the Islamic country.
But as it was announced that he could have been killed during the fighting, there is no information about his wife and two minor girls. Bledar's grandmother, Fitetti, still refuses to admit that he is no longer in life. Showing that she has raised her nephew while her father was in migration, 86-year-old claims she cannot recognise her grandchildren, while hoping she will see one day.
In January 2014, Bledar Hamza's wife informed his family that he had been killed. The wife herself told her family that neither she had seen her but that she had been a friend of Bledar's who had confirmed his murder.
