Speaking on a programme against smoking held in Istanbul, Recep Tayip Erdogan said: “We expect our American allies to keep their promises this time”, Kosovo reports.
Erdogan added that a total of 765 members of YPG / The PKK, including the elderly, were neutralised as part of the country's anti-terrorism campaign in northern Syria, adding that 1,500 square miles of territory were rescued from the terrorist group, AA writes.

Stressing that Turkey would rejoice in the withdrawal of YPG / The PKK from the territory of the safe zone, Erdogan said Ankara would take the safe zone under protection.
