Italian doctors, assisted by Kosovo doctors at the CKUK Cardiosurgy Clinic, have operated 11 heart patients.
According to QKUK, six children operated by the Italian team, led by Dr. Bruno Murzi, with the help of the local team, led by Dr. Adem Grbolar and the other cardiosurgeons, had co - born heart defects, verinal septum defects, and arterial duketus.
The children have been selected by the Clinic of Pediatrics, Dr. Ramush Bayqi and the pediatric cardiology team. Operated patients are without any real complications. At the same time, 5 adult patients had problems with the aneurysm, valve disease, and coronary disease. All of the patients who were operated have been released to house care, after the postal treatment, without complications. Italian doctors will visit Kosovo again, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and deepening co-operation with Kosovo doctors”, the QKUK communique said.
