Democrats take next steps to sack President Trump

The Democrats of the House of Representatives are continuing with the investigation into President Donald Trump's dismissal procedure, sending legal requests for documents to his personal attorney and Secretary of State, as well as to scheduled sessions this week with former officials involved in politics between the United States and Ukraine. They say [...]
They say Mr. Trump asked the Ukrainian president to help him find incriminating information about his political rival, former Vice President Joe Biden.
The heads of the House of Representatives for Foreign Relations, Intelligence and Monitoring Commissions have given US Secretary of State Mike Pompeii's time until Thursday to submit documents concerning the investigation that was opened after an informant filed a complaint expressing concern that Mr. Trump was “used the powers of office to promote intervention by a foreign country in the 2020 elections in the United States”.
Commission leaders also submitted legal requests to President Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, on a deadline until October 15th.
They wrote in demand that the increased “public information, including your own statements, show that the president, you and others seem to have pressured the Ukrainian government to make two politically motivated investigations”.
The republican allies of President Trump continue to insist that the Democrats are politically motivated.
President Trump has continued to protect the call with Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky with comments on Twitter and on Monday attacked the head of the House of Representatives Commission for Intelligence, Adam Schiff:
My cell phone was perfect. The informant who announced it presented him as terrible. And then, Adam Schiff, even worse, made up my words which I think is terrible. Congressman Adam Schiff invented what I said. The reason is that when he saw the contents of my phone call with the president of Ukraine, it was so right that he couldn't quote it because there was nothing wrong. It was perfect...”
Mr. Trump suggested yesterday that Mr. Schiff, should be arrested for “
The president also continues to insist that he must meet his “accuser” and has warned of his <x2 heavy consequences! ”
The informant who filed the complaint is expected to testify before lawmakers, but the date has not yet been set.
Under the law, informants can report attitudes they consider inappropriate, defending their identity and without fear of revenge.
Trying to penalise and criticize someone for following the law because of allegations that the president has not followed the law is something that lowers the dignity of the president's post, from which Americans expect the most”, says John Hudak, of the Brookings Institute.
According to the informant's complaint, Mr. Trump called for the help of the Ukrainian president to find incriminating information about his political rival, former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, who would hurt the Democrats' chances of running from his party and challenging him in next year's elections.
On Wednesday, former US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, whom Mr. Trump dismissed a few months ago, will testify before the House of Representatives Commission for Intelligence. On Thursday ahead of the same commission, former US special envoy for Ukraine Kurt Volker is testifying, who resigned last week. /voa
