Czech Prime Minister shuts the mouth of Serbs: We intend to recognise Kosovo

The head of the Chamber of Representatives in Czechia, Radec Vandracek, has said that in his state there has never been a unique position in terms of Kosovo's independence, however, it says a withdrawal of recognition for Kosovo cannot be expected. These statements have been made during an address to Serbia's Parliament in a special session, Beta news agency reports.
Kosovo's “Recognition has been conveyed to various disputes in Czechia, and has never had the support of most of society. The House of Representatives had also called for the government to seek an alternative solution, and to see the future through the membership of the entire region in the European Union. Parliament had not recommended that the government recognise the independence of the Republic of Kosovo. But in the end, this was decided on by some type of pressure and was influenced by some arguments that were incorrect and correct, which time has shown to”, Vondrecek said.
While speaking of Zeman's statements in Belgrade for the removal of recognition, Wandrecek has said such a statement could spur the search for new solutions, but not that there will be any radical change of Czech stance on Kosovo.
“cannot expect any radical change of the Czech Government in the Kosovo issue, because based on many experts, such is impossible”, Vondrecek has said among other things.
He has also said that he supports Serbia on the path towards integration into the European Union, noting that Europe cannot be stabilised without the integration of the entire Western Balkans.
Serbia's Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic has said she expects Czechia's support for continuing the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue with the aim of finding a compromise solution, the Express broadcast.
Czech Prime Minister Andrey Babes and Czech Foreign Affairs Minister Thomas Petricek have spoken about the issue of Kosovo's recognition. Both have said there is no reason for their state to change its position towards the Republic of Kosovo.
