Serbia is trying to affect Kosovo's sovereignty even through sports. In regard to these Belgrade actions, a football match is planned today between Crvena Zvezda's team and Trepca's illegal team.

The match is scheduled to be held in Kosovo, respectively, in Mitrovica, even as it belongs to 1/16 of Serbia's Cup.

However, Crvena Zvezda could still turn back without entering the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.

Kosovo Police spokesman for the northern Mitrovica region, Branislav Radovic, for news.net has confirmed that Crvena Zvezda's team, even though it has been launched since yesterday, has not yet entered Kosovo.

He has said the Serbian team will not be allowed entry into Kosovo.

“Crvena Ziesda has not arrived in Kosovo. I have been asked about this issue even last night by Serbian media and my response is the same today that the team from Belgrade will not be allowed entry into Kosovo. The same is being banned from the match in question”, Radovic said.

However, he does not rule out the possibility that it could change the decision for Crvena Zvezda to be allowed to enter Kosovo.

“I don't know whether anything will change in the last few moments, but so far the decision is not to allow Crvena Zvezda's entry into Kosovo”, he has said further.

The FFK asked FIFA to prevent the development of this match, calling for the guaranteed right as the sole host of football competitions on Kosovo territory.

But FIFA, suddenly, took a stand that suits Serbia and at the expense of Kosovo football and FFK.

Calling to a decision by the Court for Abbitrax Sports, respectively, at an article of the CAS decision when it rejected the Federation of Serbia's complaint against the U decision. EFA for Kosovo's accession, FIFA has encouraged The WFF to withdraw the application made in Kosovo's security bodies so the match can be held.

FIFA has been called at a point in the CAS decision saying that “fact that certain clubs in northern Kosovo currently play under the jurisdiction of the Federation of Serbia, does not undermine the general organising authority of the FFK on its territory, which has been testified to by FFK membership application”.
