The vendor, Garret Kletjian, had bought it four years earlier for $137,500, writes KOHA Ditore. The slightly outdated brand of Manhattan, which in the meantime has disappeared from the market, has never been washed and contains stains and cigarette signs.
Along with the tricon comes the letter about the origin of the article, written by Jackie Fary, a friend of Courtney Love who received the sweater just from Kurt's widow after his death.
Kurt Cobain passed away on April 5, 1994, and could not host the publication of Unplugged album, which was a great success.
