The model of the introduced helicopter looks like a flying dish, while its prototype is scheduled to make its first flight in 2020.
Chinese military experts have said that it is a butterfly of a completely experimental character and that even if it is decided to apply to practice, it is not expected soon.
Work on this model is useful in the future development of butterfly technologies, experts said.
The butterfly, similar to those in fantastic scientific films, is 7.6m long and 2.85m wide. The two - seated pilot cabin is located in the middle of the butterfly's ring structure, which, with two motor turbos, can develop high speeds of up to 650 miles [650 km] per hour, sends out Telegrafi.
The helicopter weighs six tons and can fly up to 6,000 feet [6,000 m].
The first aircraft prototype flight will take place in 2020, at the “Airsnow manifesto China 2020” in the city of Yuhay, in the southern province of Guangdong.
Military experts say large speeds and low levels of noise have been achieved, and that when it comes to future helicopters, additional work will be needed for easier maintenance and higher credibility. /Telegraphy/
