He has started by announcing to the council that in the 6 October elections in Kosovo, the winner has emerged from opposition parties -- the Vetevendosje Movement and the LDK.
“They are considering options for achieving the agreement for co-governance. Their vows have been fighting crime and corruption. The international community expects the new leaders of Kosovo institutions to engage in the process of dialogue with Serbia, and to remove obstacles”, Tani has said, Kosovo reports.
He has said he also welcomes international efforts for the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue process to continue after a long time of impasse.
In his speech, Tanin has also mentioned Kosovo police action in May this year, pointing to the ban of two UNMIK officials.
According to him, Kosovo police have used excessive violence on them and have added that those who have exercised violence should be investigated.
