Agim Kuleta, head of the Pristina Municipal Assembly and friend of the PDK candidate with the 46th number, Raif Qela I, who is also seeking an MP's mandate, in a post supporting the key, says:
When I remember Raif's political activity, I think he's about 112 years old. Political activity against the Serbian invaders began very young, since 15 years old, in 1978. He's been in prison for the first time. It's like I'm afraid the problem's being solved quickly and he's not giving his contribution.
Along with a group of young people, they had carried out many shares. The one most impressed me is April 1981 action, as an 18-year-old. Along with Meja Uka (Desir) and several other friends, they had decided to carry out the first attack on the Serb special militia at the time. They tie a strong metal rope to the trees on both sides of the road, wait patiently, and pull it off as the militia vehicle approaches. They even repeat this once more. In both cases of material and physical damage and panic in militia.
Raif during his activity is imprisoned 5 times (1979, 1981, 1984, 1987, 1993) and has suffered 14 years of severe imprisonment in the most notorious Serbian prisons, where physical and psychic torture, though terrible, were powerless to break it. His fate even saw to it that he did not let go of the massacre at Dubrava Prison. He was the accomplice of many heroes, like: Jusuf Gervalla, Fahri and Bahri Fazliu, Agron Blundman, Metha Uka, Rexhep Mala, Nuhi Berisha, Ali Ajeti, Fehmi Ladrovci and many others.
After the war ended and the release from prison despite much suffering, he had lost no desire for life. After 17 years, he continued and completed the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences. He was an MP in the Kosovo Assembly in the 2014-2018 mandate, where he has made a big contribution to adopting “Law on Trepce” and creating conditions for continuing Ferronik's work. Also, much has been committed to the issue of Albanians expelled from northern Mitrovica.
Raif is a hard worker and a good man to the pain of the head. When he was able to face five imprisonments, he would no doubt face his second term as deputy.
Our responsibility is to give him the chance.
It's an honor to have him as my friend. It's an honor for the institution that's part of it.
Good morning!
