Boyko Borissov “strongly condemned the racist behavior, including Nazi greetings and cheers where the English were called monkeys.
The match, which England won 6-0, was halted twice because of racist behaviour by local fans, writes BBC, translates Periscope.
Borsov said it is unacceptable for people in Bulgaria to connect to racism.
“I call on Borislav Mihaylov to immediately resign as president of Bulgaria's Football Federation,”, he said.
After yesterday's embarrassing loss of Bulgaria's national team, and taking into account the bad results of our football, I have ordered that we cut off any relationship with the Federation, including the financial one, until Borislav Mihaylov's resignation from this post. ”
English striker Raheem Sterling posted on Twitter, welcoming the call made by Prime Minister Borissov.
Vasil Levski Stadium was also subject to partial closure after Bulgaria was convicted of racist behaviour in matches against Kosovo and Bulgaria. /Periscope
