From secure channels in Bulgaria, Kosova Prees has found it to be Russian Military Intelligence Service officer (GRU) Vladimir Rusiyaev, who had so far served in Sofia as the first secretary.

He had co-operation contacts aimed at gathering classified information with Bulgarian arrested on September 10th, Nikolai Malinov, who had been in Belgrade to speak at a conference concerning the 20th anniversary of NATO bombings and against Kosovo independence.

On 25 October, Bulgaria's Foreign Affairs Minister Ekaterina Zakharieva has called Anatoly Makarov, the Russian ambassador to Bulgaria, and has sought to remove an undercover Russian Federation intelligence officer who had been discovered committing spying in Sofia, using the cover of the Russian Embassy's First Secretary, Kosovo Press, announced.

But according to sources coming from the Republic of Bulgaria, where Russian mountain influence is too extended, say Vladimir Ruseyaev, has been identified as a military intelligence officer under cover, who was spying on Bulgaria, thus violating Article 104 of the Criminal Code in Bulgaria.

Rusiyaev has tried to recruit Bulgarian government officials as spies and has urged them to hand over state secrets, information that undermine NATO's national security and classified information, including information on several other states.

Vladimir Rusiyaev has conducted spying actions in secret environments, exploiting Bulgarian coast resorts. Bulgarian authorities have said Ruseyaev was a GRU officer. Information provided by a European secret service says Rusyaev had replaced another intelligence officer named Alexander Gorenkov.

Security expert Burim Ramadani has told Kosova Preis that Russian mountain influence in the Balkans everywhere is present.

Bulgaria's “Rasti and the deconspiration of Russian intelligence officers disguised as diplomats show that if there is real commitment, other states in the region and beyond, can minimize the damage coming from Russia. Seshazi is seen as Rusiyaev has had connections and they are not exempt even from the Bulgarian who was sentenced to Mininov”, Ramadani has said.

On September 10th, according to Bulgarian media reports Nikolay Malinov, a former parliamentary delegation from the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), who was leading a pro-government organisation called “Rusophili”, has been formally accused in Sofia of spying and money laundering for Russian organisations.

According to reports, Bulgarian Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov had said Nikolay Malinov could be sentenced to a five-year release of freedom. However, the respective court in Bulgaria has released Mainov, forcing him to pledge 25,000 euros and has prevented him from leaving the country.

Tsatsarov said Maliov was charged with providing information to Russian groups that directly influenced Bulgaria's national security and was part of an effort to exercise influence on Bulgarian government foreign policy towards Russia and the West.

“Russian interest, usually greater for information about NATO and naturally for the US. Russia pays a lot of money, trains collaborators of this kind, such as civil society, NGOs or even where they mostly like state officials. Even in the case of the Russian officer, investigations must have been initiated by Bulgarian Nikolay Malinov, who was arrested during September in Bulgaria”, Burim Ramadani said.

According to data from Western international media, Russian mountain influence has swept across the Balkans. In Bulgaria's case, where Russia has a big claim, Nikolay Malinov's earlier ties with Leonid Rechetnjikov, former senior official of Russian intelligence services, can clearly be observed.

Leonid Resoftekov also has strong ties in Belgrade, where through Kosovo Serbs, other nationalist and chauvinist organisations are misusing the Serbian-Kosovo wound to extend its influence to Kosovo as well.

Irinej honours Resoftnikov

The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Irinej, had divided “to the Order of the Holy Emperor Constantine” Leonid Resoftekov, director of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS).

In this form, Russian mountain influence strives to rid the region of European integration by synchronizing activities and to promote Balkan peoples with hatred.

In the absence of economic and cultural development, Russians have consistently proved that through lies of particular kind, that the NATO bombings have allegedly been with impoverished uranium, to raise a hatred of the West, and people in the Balkans hostile.
