Borrell presented himself to the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Commission for the first time today, where for several hours he spoke about the Kosovo and Serbia issue.
As foreign media report, he has said that for an agreement to be reached between the two countries, Kosovo must remove Serbia's tax and show more sincerity.
“One thing is certain, Kosovo and Serbia must reach agreement. This is important. I'll do anything to make this our priority”, Borell said among other things.
Spain's politician, the state that does not recognise Kosovo, has spoken of other countries that have the same attitude -- China, India and Russia.
If China, India and Russia do not recognise Kosovo, this will never have full citizenship. For this reason, talks should continue”, he said.
Otherwise, Borrell is expected to take office on November 1st, where he will replace Federica Moghrin.
For the end of this hearing session, Borrell warned that his first visit as soon as he assumes his new position will be right in Kosovo.
