This symbolic activity has been held where the memorial wall for Dehar was erected, with which solidarity and pain in the Dehari family have been expressed, while in memory of Astritis, participants covered the candle, flowers, and mail cards for his family.
Part of this event was the chairman of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, family of the late activist Astrit Dehari and citizens.
Life Berisha, part of the co-ordinating task force “I am Astriti”, has said that Astrit Dehari turning for the history of justice in Kosovo, as he warned requirements that will be put forward in the next march to be held on November 5th.
May today's <x0mmm be our first solidistic activity to let institutions know of our revolt and anger not to whitewash the Astrit Dehar case for three years. The publication of the findings of the Swiss Institute of Legal Medicine expert report has entitled the Dehari family's request for new investigation into the causes of the violent death of Astrit Dehar. The report specifically lowers the suicide hypothesis by the prosecutor and calls for new investigation, including investigating the possibility of other persons involved in his murder. I want to announce that on November 5, Tuesday, 12 o'clock, in “Square. Skenderbe” will gather to march on the streets of the capital, seeking justice for Astrit Deharin on these demands: assigning the new investigation group to creditable investigation, and carrying the case from Prizren's Constitutional Prosecutor to Kosovo Special Prosecutor, the dismissal and investigation of all responsible persons into the institutional chain by the government, police, prison directorate, prosecutor and legal medicine department, as the immediate beginning of a new loan investigation, transparent, independent and professional on causes of the Aastrian death, the prosecution of the death of the witness, the mayoral trial of his friend, in the municipality's detention centre, Nax, Max, said.
The father of Astrit Dehar, Avni Dehar, is also addressed in a word. He thus sought to bring to justice all who were part, as he put it, the murder of Astrit Dehar.
Since November 5, 2016, to a few days less, state bodies, justice representatives, irresponsible and criminal rulers have repeatedly made efforts to convince us as a family that Astrot has committed suicide in Prizren prison. With the report coming, Astrit Dehar's findings are over. They were forced to admit that they had a mouth full of suicide until yesterday. With this report the first phase of battle in the Astrit Dehar case has prevailed and is closed. Now the second or second phase of the battle opens to bring to justice all those who directly or indirectly participated in the murder of our son”, he said.
By contrast, the Swiss Institute of Legal Medicine has concluded in the 58-page report that the likelihood is small for Dehar to have killed himself in prison.
It also says that DNA tests conducted at the Swiss Institute's laboratory have released a DNA profile of the deceased, even though Kosovo experts have reportedly contained little or very little DNA.
We have doubts about the circumstances of Mr. Astrit Dehari. In fact, the hypothesis of an Astrit Dehar suicide through the means appointed by legal doctors seems a little real and the intervention of a third person in the fatal process should be taken into account. From what was said, we appreciate that a new investigation is necessary to clarify Mr. Astrost DEHAR. Our teams and our labs are available to investigators in charge of the” case, said in the report.
Family lawyer Tome Gashi has said that Astrit Dehari has been killed after being a member of the Vetevendosje Movement, while the Constitutional Prosecutor in Prizren has warned that he will continue the investigation into the case.
Astrit Dehari was initially arrested as suspected of attacking Kosovo's Parliament along with several other members of the Vetevendosje Movement. He died while in custody in Prizren prison. The case of members of the Vetevendosje Movement has turned into retrial, but the date has not yet been set. /
