For the first time, the House of Representatives of Congress of the United States unanimously adopted a resolution concerning Serbia's state-sponsored murders for three American citizens of Kosovo origin -- about the issue of the Bytyqi brothers, opening the way for dawn and then passing into the entire US Congress.
The unanimous part of the resolution shows frustration over the treatment of this subject on the part of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on the Bytyqi Brothers issue.
The convention's decision was also praised by the Astyqi Brothers' family member, Ilir Bytyqi. He has said his family is humbled by the action of conge.
My family is sitting down with the decision that Congress made today. Hopefully, Special Representative Matt Palmer and special envoy Rich Green will hear these voices and give priority to the issue of the Bytyqi Brothers and the justice of war crimes in their work. Today, Congress showed that the victims cannot be ignored”, Brother Bytyqi's family member Ilir Bytyqi has declared.
Happy with the convention's decision was Fatos Bytyqi.
Chief Engel, Congressman Zeldin and now the full House of Representatives continue to give my family the strength we need to fight for justice. I request from Special Representative Matt Palmer and Special Envoy Rich Grenelli also to show that the fight for the Bytyqi Brothers case is an American priority. ”
H. Con. Res. 32 relates the actual history of the Bytyqi case, including the involvement of Vlastimir Djordjevic and Goran Radosavljevic in the assassination. He also refers to President Aleksandar Vucic's broken promises on this issue, and says that “progress in resolving this case, or his absence, should remain a significant factor that determines further development of relations between the United States and the Republic of Serbia.
