Albin Kurti starts breaking promises, agrees that Special Court remains in force

After the end of the working groups of the VVA's LDK, who discussed rule of law, former President Arben Gashi who attended the meeting said the Special Court must continue to exist. This stance of the Democratic League does not coincide with what it declared on the matter before winning the election [of] leader.
Arben Gashi said the Specialised Chambers will continue to carry out their work and function according to Kosovo laws.
The specialised chamber functions according to Kosovo's laws, but with international judges and prosecutors, this has been taken as the decision of Kosovo institutions, and for us these rooms must exist and do their work”, Gashi said.
Recently, the Special Court after the October 6th extraordinary elections has become the subject not only in terms of invitations they are sending them, but also in statements the VV leader had given them on the subject, which turned out to be the most vote-free.
Kurti had declared that if he were to become prime minister, he would break up the Special Court.
When Vetevendosje is in the government tomorrow, Vetevendosje is the subject government that doesn't hand you over to the Special Court, that we are not familiar with the Special Court, even the PDK government has you delivered to Special Court”, he said in the Assembly.
Albin Kurti spoke about the matter after October 6th. But not with the same opinion. Kurti has said it is impossible to abolish it, as more than 80 deputies, including Serbs, are needed.
The Special Court is already a constitutional category. It's a shame we have the Special Court. It can be undone, because more than 80 MPs -- including Serbs” -- had stated Kurti, questioned on the subject.
Reactions to Kurt for the Special Court have also been made by the Veterans' Organization. OVL-KLA leader Hysni Gucati has said Kurti must keep the promise he had made to abolish the Special Court.
The five-year term of the Special Court will expire on 30 June 2020.
To date, more than 200 members of the Kosovo Liberation Army have been invited to interview as witnesses, while more than 200 members of the Kosovo Liberation Army have been warned that during this month the first charges would be filed. /Periscopi/
