Albanians flee, during 10 years 622 thousand citizens have received EU residence permits

There are 622 thousand Albanians who in the last decade (2008-2018) have received permission to stay in one of the European Union countries, according to data published by Eurostat and processed by the Monitor. The highest number of given permits has been in 2008-2010, where the record is in 2008 with nearly 100,000 dollars to drop to 75 thousand in 2010, which coincides with and with the high immigration of the time.

The loss of the immigration cycle marked and increased permits in the following years, reaching 2018, with about 62.5 thousand of these, the highest level since 2010.
According to states, Italy holds the record, with 308 thousand permits given in the last decade, or about 50% of total. Second place is Greece, at 224 thousand leks (36%).
Of the two countries, there is a significant decline in residence permits in recent years in proportion to the 2008-2010 period. (See permits from Greece and Italy)
By contrast, significant growth in recent years has been marked, and Germany, which has granted a total of 28,000 permits, out of which 10,000 has only been granted in 2018. Germany has recently returned to the preferred destination of Albanian professionals, as due to lack of qualified workforce, Europe's largest economy is luring nurses, IT, engineers (see the graph below, residence permits given by Germany).
The united Kingdom is fourth place with over 3 thousand permits a year during 2017-2018 (total nearly 20,000).
It then ranks France, with 10.7 thousand permits, where about 2 thousand permits per year have been granted in the past two years.
Permissions given in 2018 increase by 20%
In the European Union alone for 2018, 62,525 residence permits have been granted for the first time for Albanians, thus marking a 20% increase year-on-year. In 2017, according to data published by Eurostat, about 51,000 residence permits have been provided.
In Italy and Greece, Albanians are the first population in the number of permits granted. Thus, Greece in total has provided for foreigners 35,571 residence permits, out of which 16,900 have been granted to Albanians, or about 47%. While China is ranked second with 12.7% and Georgia with 6.9%.
In the next neighboring country, Italy, over 238 thousand residence permits were granted in total, where even here Albanians took first place with 23,147 residence permits -- or 9.7% of the total -- following the Moroccans with 20,000 residence permits and Nigerians with nearly 150,000 permits.
A total of 3.2 million residence permits have been granted throughout the European Union. Most of them have been given for family reasons of around 28.4% of the total, while in second place the employment reasons are listed at around 27.5% of the total, followed by the reasons for schooling or about 20%, while other reasons amounted to about 24%.
As for the permits granted to Albanians, in 2018 about 34 thousand residence permits have been granted for family reasons, where people who work and live in the EU receive their family. Second place is residence permits for employment reasons, where Bea gave 9000 permits, about 76% more than a year ago.
The permits given for other reasons were in total 15597 residence permits, or 245 of the total. And for reasons of schooling in 2018, 2587 were granted permits.
About 65% of total permits were in Italy and Greece, while a considerable amount of weight was seized and the permits granted by Germany amounted to about 17% of total permits. /montor
