The War Crimes Association “Gjakova 9899” has handed over about 102 criminal allegations made by the citizens of Gjakova against Serbs suspected of war crimes, where it was said to be the murder to destroy property.
The handover of indictments and documents was made at the Kosovo Police War Crimes Department.
The leader of the civil society group in Gjakova, Shkkanje Hoda, after handing over criminal charges, said this is the thirteenth contingent to bring criminal charges, including 102 left for crimes in the Gjakova municipality.
According to her, this is the first co-operation with the Kosovo Police, where they are offering evidence about the crime.
“Hopefully for a more positive result. Once upon a time we have nothing but it is seen that the very great will and police action in the municipality of Gjakova is huge, done every day, witnesses are questioned and we believe in a very positive future”, she said, kp reported.
She also gave details about the criminal charges they have handed in.
There are different cases, which means we have physical torture, murder and destruction of wealth, so that's all that has cost us a 1999 war... this will go to our police... The prosecution will not be anything once, this will go a procedure, positive, we know it doesn't happen today if, maybe it will last a year or two but we are convinced of this”, she said.
In the end, she said the process has been late, but it is speeding up more than they thought.
