Subheader The PSD, Visar Ymeri, has remembered through a Facebook post the 20th anniversary of the Recak massacre.
He has called Recak's massacre one of the monumental events in Kosovo's liberation war.
“Recak is one of the monumental events in Kosovo's liberation war. A turning point from which there was no”, it wrote, among other things.
Here's his full Facebook post:
Today 20 years ago, it was finally understood publicly that in Kosovo Serbia had planned genocide of the Albanian being to control the territory without the people living on it. But it was also understood that, yes, in Kosovo, a will of freedom had gained momentum. On one side was Serbia's heavily armed army that wanted to kill that will, and on the other hand, a whole people who had decided to get rid of this army.
Recak is one of the monument events in Kosovo's liberation fight. A turning point from which there was no turning back.
In Recak, as in other massacres, evidence was that Serbia fought an entire people. That everyone was indiscriminately endangered. That all, indiscriminately, were participants in the war, being fought by Serbia. No doubt such a war by Serbia was criminal war. It was a crime against humanity. So the crime against mankind remains today.
Glory to all fallen for Kosovo freedom!
Without them Kosovo would not be!
