According to one study, 61 percent of single women have reported happiness in this fact, along with 49 percent of single males.
The survey has also found that 75 percent of single women have not sought a relationship during the past year, along with 65 percent of single men.
The reason for this, experts say, is that being in a heterosexual relationship requires much work and commitment, especially from women.
Evidence thus shows that women spend more time on homework and emotional work than men do.
