The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, has congratulated Macedonia on the vote to change the name.
The best wishes for the historic vote my colleagues in Skopje have just given to ratify the Prespa Agreement. This decision permanently unblocks the integration path for our friend state and accelerates membership in NATO and the EU, not just Macedonia, but our entire region. By this vote it consolidates peace and stability throughout the region and proves once again that dialogue of understanding is the best way to solve problems inherited from the past. Once again, the votes of our allies were proved crucial for this journey, so the credit of particular gratitude lies with Albanian deputies who put this process forward”, Veselin wrote on Facebook.
