Former Ukrainian President Viktor Janukovic, sheltered in Russia since his fall from power in 2014 after a pro-Western popular uprising, was sentenced in absentia today to 12 years in prison for high treason in Ukraine.
“Kiev's court decided to recognise Januovic, 68, and sentence him to 13 years in prison”, Judge Vladislav Devatko announced, broadcast ATSH.
According to the tribunal, through these unlawful and deliberate acts, Janukovic has committed a crime that undermines the foundations of Ukrainian national security a high treason.
The Ukrainian “-director is also found guilty of co-operating in the creation of an aggressive fight against Ukraine”, according to this judge. /Periscopi
