Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Veselini said Recak is synonymous with the fate of our nation, independence and freedom. Twenty years ago, according to him, our pain has become boldness for freedom, dreams sacrificed to the martyrs of Recak have come true.
Wessel had a clear message for all in attendance, where, as he said, we have support from citizens and power from God, no one can stop.
While, in terms of dialogue with Serbia, it indicated that the challenge with them requires confrontation in order to be united, and according to him there should not be internal disputes among political parties, as state sovereignty is untainable.
Wessel had a request for political parties to engage in the process until it is too late. He also spoke to the Special Court, where he said Kosovo is not afraid of this, as they will always turn out fair.
Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradianj, commemorating the Recak massacre, said it is very difficult to commemorate this massacre. For this very reason, the executive leader said that only for this massacre should a special Tribunal be made at The Hague for Serbia.
Speaking to the Special Court, he said international friends are burdening Kosovo with such things, as the Recak massacre proves who committed crimes.
Haradinaj said Kosovo should keep dependent on Serbia by failing to comply with it.
The Chairman of the Forum Community, Naim Ismajli, said the Recak massacre is a great pain, but as he says only in this way they will always be remembered and January 15, 1999, will remain the day of immortality.
