President Hashim Thaci has talked again today about the tax on Serbian and Bosnian goods.
Asked whether he consulted the Government on the possibility of tax removal, the country's president has said he has consulted the owner of this tax, Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj, initially 10%, as well as the 100% tax proposor, Kadri Veseli, because the government has only voted.
“They speak with their government partners”, Thaci has said.
In a written response to The Washington Post on Friday, Thaci has said that Kosovo is ready to consider lifting tariffs if a clear way to continue towards reaching a final Peace Agreement with Serbia is open to Kosovo.
Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has earlier declared that the 100 per cent tax on products from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be lifted when the state with current President Aleksandar Vucinqi would recognise Kosovo's independence. /Periscopi
