Seting a 100% tax by the Kosovo government continues to take “down” Serbia. After the Serbian state loses more than 1m euros a day from establishing this tax, this decision by the Government of Kosovo has now increased food prices in Serbia.
Serbian analysts cite two reasons for rising prices due next week. The first is the establishment of excises and Kosovo taxes.
The establishment of the excise, according to Serbian experts, has made production expenses higher, while the establishment of a 100% tax from Kosovo authorities has caused Serbian companies to face the trouble of selling goods, knowing that Kosovo was the preferred destination of Serbian products.
Even connoisseurs in Serbia warn that this situation could strain the situation in the country by not excluding radicalisation of the protests.
