Former Kosovo Liberation Army Commander Sylejman Selimi has spent the New Year's night outside the prison.
The pictures with him are made public by Jair Morina Gipa, owner of the Princeshaw company, the builder.
He wrote on Facebook that the new year he celebrated with Sylejman Selimi and his family.
It's an honor and a pleasure to spend the New Year's Eve with your family and General Sylejman Selimi! I hope this year will bring him to the family and colleagues in the Kosovo Army”, Morina Gipa wrote.
On the other hand, Kosovo Correcting Service Director Nehat Thaci for KALLXO.com said Selimi has met with a two-day release.
“Po has had two days off on weekends, this happened under law”, Thaci said.
Sylejman Selimi is serving a prison sentence in the Dubrava prison after being convicted of crimes committed during wartime.
The Court of Appeals had joined the sentences for cases “Drenica 1” and “Drenica 2” and had sentenced Sylejman Selimi to a unique sentence of 10 years.
