The student in Egypt was expelled from school only because she embraced a friend and was filmed (Video)

In a video published in social media, you see the boy kneeling with a bunch of flowers in front of the student from Egypt. Then she hugs him.

But apparently this decision has cost him.

The video was not filmed at her Al-Azhar university, but at Mansoura University in the north of the country.

However, Al-Azhar University's disciplinary council of campus decided to expel the girl.

University spokesman Ahmed Zarie said the video caused public protest and that the decision came after the student presents a bad image of Al-Azhar.

He added that embracing unmarried men and women violates the “values and principles of society”.

However, it could appeal the expulsion decision, Zarie said.
