Sex also benefits memory, especially after age 50. A recent study of the University of Wollongong in Australia, published in the magazine “Archives of Sexual Behavior” has been released. But caution: The benefits in our mind may be temporary and disappear at the time of a break in sexual activity.
The study was conducted with 6016 adults over 50 years of age. 2672 were men, and 3344 were women who underwent a memory test on certain episodes and questions about general health, sexual activity, and emotional status.
Two years later, they were asked to repeat the test and the result was obvious:
Given how often the participants were kissed, touched, or had relations with their partner, it was indicated that sexual activity, at least in a short time, had a positive impact on their memory.
This result is, according to researchers, the growth of sex - stimulating neurons in the part of the brain that is especially short - and long - term memory.
