Every year cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the world, causing over 17 million of them.
Risk Factors
Some risk factors are common to many diseases. Overweight, smoking, diabetes, hypertension increases the likelihood of cardiovascular, metabolic, oncology, and neurodegenerative diseases. Improving lifestyles and caring for food would enable the elimination of 80% of deaths from strokes and heart attacks.
Prevention
The Milan Cardiology Center has compiled a list of 10 rules for a healthy heart. The first is a necessity: Stop smoking, considered the primary responsibility for heart attacks. Passive smoking is also dangerous: it harms those who live with smokers, increasing the risk of attack on the heart even among nonsmoking.
Second, physical activity, especially aerobics, is essential for a healthy diet with adequate calories. Other rules include knowing the risk factors (colesterol, blood pressure), reducing stress, taking time off from work, and contacting your doctor if drowning and breathing difficulties arise.

In the period leading to menopaus, experts recommend that women with normal weight and stay physically active - thus no less likely to develop high cholesterol, high tension with higher risk of heart attacks and brain attacks. In menopause, in fact, women lose “to save” of estrogen protection, exposing arteries to a greater risk of obstacles than men.
