The regime of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro today increased pressure against his rival, Juan Guaido, after the US gave the self-declared interim president control over some important bank accounts and property.
Attorney General Tarek William Saab said he has asked the Supreme Court to stop Guaido from leaving the country and freeze his bank accounts.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo authorized Venezuela's interim president, Juan Guaido, to take over and control some properties in behalf of the Venezuelan government or Central Bank that are controlled by the New York Federal Reserve Bank or any other American banking institution. /They
