If you like black humor, this, after all, does not make you worse, says a study. In fact, this sense of humor can tell good things about your general character.
Astonishing discoveries, carried out by Austrian researchers and published in the magazine Cognitive Processinı, have been released after 156 adult participants, half of whom were males, the other half women.
The average age of participants has been 33 years, while participants have been in different fields.
Each of the participants has been asked to assess 12 black humor cartoons, and then they have had to show what they generally think of them as. Have they ever found the joke interesting and easy to grasp, as if it seemed vulgar, etc.
Researchers have then analyzed participants in three dimensions at their level of intelligence, black humor and aggressive levels.
Thus, researchers found that those most interested in a black mood are also at least aggressive and mostly intelligent. Among other things, they have more schooling.
Those who had hardly understood cartoons or had no interest in them had generally had lower average intelligence levels.
According to the study, the processing of black humor is a complex task of processing information that depends on the cognitive and emotional aspects.
