Measures against Podujevo barbershops become clear that they cannot increase the price of haircut

The Berries operating in the Podujevo municipality warned days ago of increasing the price of haircut.

The price - raising arrangement has been made at a meeting held between the barbers of this municipality. The price hikes have been discussed, but a defined decision was expected to be taken at a upcoming meeting that was warned to be held before February 15th.

Cutting off the 2 euro hair was planned to become 3 euros, and what was a euro two.

But that's not gonna happen.

The anticard division under the Kosovo Competition Authority questioned organisers who tried to freeze the haircut price in the co-ordinated Podujevo municipality or cartel.

The award-fixing agreement by the organisers themselves was withdrawn and proclaimed NULL. The rise or decrease in the price of products and services in a market economy is done individually, and in this form, every company is in the rule of law. While grouping companies aimed at reaching agreements on price assignment, it is a serious legal violation and the Kosovo Competition Authority on this level is uncompromis”, the AKK says.

Since the agreement was not in force, the Authority has not launched investigative procedures against the Podujevo municipality barbers.
