Even a few days after receiving the increased wages, a party was organized at a luxury hotel in the suburbs of the capital. It was said that the party was organised by artists, but the Ministry of Culture actually paid the bill. Minister Gashi himself had said the party was organised to thank the Ministry of Culture. The meeting was like electoral campaign.
But things have changed. The wage bill envisions other incomes for cultural performers. They are much lower than those they receive from November on the basis of order for the promotion and wages of creators and cultural heritage performers and workers. 657 euros is the high salary set forth in the Bill for Culture Performers.
If compared with the Order, an actor's higher salary is less than the lowest one they now receive. According to the Order, the salary of the resident body of the Kosovo National Theatre is 660 euros. Those ranked as theatre leaders receive 800 euros in their second salary of 720. But if the bill goes into effect, the regulation is abolished.
Culture institutions have reacted Wednesday. The bill envisions five categories of creators and performers of culture and art. Salaries start at 657 euros and continue at 573, 478, 430 and 394 euros. According to the Order, which has replaced it in 2011, the theatre artistic leader's salary from 450 has risen to 860 euros.
The first pedag and ballet soloists receive 675 euros in salary. The second soloist, 579 euros. Ballale Ans are paid 521 euros. “soloists Shots” receive a salary of 579 euros. The orchestra members' salary is 521 euros. As for the Kosovo Philharmonic, the permanent conductor pays 868 euros, while the concertist 810 euros. Instrumentists in most cases have increased wages by more than 50 percent under the Order
