Love makes you sick like you have the flu

You can't eat or sleep or focus on something. Falling in love is like getting sick with the flu, but the body is fighting it. A new study shows that our bodies experience love the same as the flu virus.

New romances may cause women to produce a type of protein usually used to combat infection. Scientists from the University of California suggest that being “sick of love” is normal.

The team of scientists received blood samples from 47 women over a period of two years after starting new love links.

They found that the beginning of a romance activates interferron genes, a protein usually used to combat viruses. /oranews
