Two years ago, Loriana Kuka had secured the first medal for Kosovo. It was a bronze medal from the European Open tournament for juniors, held in Liganano, Italy.
Loriana is 21 years old, and determined to win many medals for her country.
She managed today to reach the Grand Prix Tel Aviv 2019 finals in the 780 - pound [78 kg] category - 26 over Majlinda Kelmendi. Of course, as in any sport, the worst categories are even more important.
The primary aim, however, has to ensure the rate for the upcoming Olympic Games, those “Tokio 2020”. To realize his goals in the Judo sport, Loriana has given up her luxurious lifestyle in Switzerland and settled in Pec, where she has a large share of her family.
Her career was valued with the future in Switzerland, but she feels that with her arrival in Kosovo, she has taken the right step to reach the top of the world jungle.
