The deputy head of the Government of Serbia and its Trade Minister Rasim Lajiq has today declared that everything is showing that Kosovo will lift the tax on Serbia's goods.
He, as the Serbian news agency Tanjug reports, has said that Serbia because of its tax in Kosovo, from November 21st to January 21st 2019, Serbia has sold 66.2m euros less goods, broadcast Koha.net.
In the question of whether the tax is expected to be lifted quickly, as the Kosovar side is saying that the possibility of temporary suspension is under consideration, Lajqi has replied that there is still no concrete knowledge about it, but that, added, everything is showing that it is moving towards its removal.
He has added that importers from Kosovo have already gone north and that there are interested in goods to be imported immediately after the tax is lifted, as “ata warns that the removal will take place”, the minister stressed.
Lajiq has concluded that a major pressure is being put on Kosovo's international allies for the tax to be lifted.
