KOK publishes results of sports federations, first judo

Out of a total of 31 federations, 29 of them have been classified into four groups -- A, B,C,D.

From the Federation of Sports, it leads the Judo, as well as the athletes who lead Majlinda Kelmendi by 100 points.

The first of the trainers was Driton Kuka with a total of 177,50 points.

KOK President Besim Hasani on this occasion said it is the second year that is becoming the categorying of Kosovo sports, and this has influenced sports to have advances.

He says this classification is being done according to high standards, and such an action of Kosovo ranks in advanced countries in terms of financing sports, athletes and trainers.

Hasani: We're also advancing in terms of classification.

We can tell you that every time we're advancing and in this direction after extremely intensive work today we're going to come up with categories... I think it's an extremely high standard that regulates and that this issue, and I believe it lists us among the advanced states in the sense of sharing financial means according to the progress made by athletes and trainers”, he added, Kosova Preas reported.

Meanwhile, KOK Secretary General Shasimir Hadziaj said they had some difficulties during the assessment, because each documentation had to be thoroughly checked.

Hadijaj: 29 federations have been classified

This time they applied 31 total federations for categories of 29 are classified, while 2 remain out of classification... there are a total of 6 Federations that entered the first group or group A, 13 federations in Group B, 6 in Group C, and 4 are left in the D” group, he declared.

Hadijaj as the commission's representative also provided clarifications of why the Badmington Federation and the miniglof were not grouped.

Hadijaj: Badmington's Federation and Minigolf were not classified

“Federata of Badmington just founded on the last three months of 2018 it has had only one activity, but the classification of the sport is for the entire calendar year and the commission has decided that since it doesn't have a full year there of federation activity it can't be classified, that's one reason and the other is that the Badmington Federation still has no license from the Sport Ministry. Uncategorized, we also have the Federation of Minigolf of Kosovo, the reason why this has not been classified is that the regulatory criteria are required to have 50 minimunal athletes, while the Migolf federation has not been able to prove that it has 50 active sportsmen”, he said.

Hadijaj said they have issued a recommendation for the ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports for these two federations to share from 10,000 euros with the aim of functioning.

The federations that were classified are that of Judo, which was assessed at 86.20 points, karate with 86 points, then football, basketball, handball and volleyball.

Sportsmen Majlinda Kelmendi has been followed by Nora Gjakova, Heroid Nixevci, Donjet Sadiku. On the other hand, coach Kuka was succeeded by Albanian Zogiani by 55 points, and Nazim Gashi with 10 points.
