Kosovo's football legend, Fadil Vokrrit, has been recognised as a citizen with special credit for his contribution to promoting sports in the international arena.
Vorrit's family, represented by wife Edita and the Gramoz and Alberti boys, Sports Minister Kujtom Gashi, handed over the decision, which envisions the Vokrrit family to transfer financial means of 1,000 euros a month.
In this case, the minister said that through this decision, the state expresses gratitude for the contribution and commitment given by legend Fadil Vokry.
The government has made a decision to the late Fadil Vokri to be recognised status honorary citizen with special credit for its contribution to sports and especially football, and of course to share a monthly salary. We've invited you today to give you the government's decision, so our meeting is special and emotional. All of us who have known Fadil Wickry are proud of his engagement and work. We have had the obligation to make this decision because he was a man who, by his great works, has left traces in football and especially with his contribution to Kosovo's membership in international sports organisations”, the minister said.
Meanwhile, the wife of the late Vokrri, Edita, thanked Minister Gashi for the decision made, as well as for the honor she gives to her husband.
“Fadil has worked extremely hard and has been fully devoted to football and especially to finalising the stadium. And thanks to his work and commitment, Kosovo is already part of many international sports organisations, so thank you for the decision made, as well as for honouring my husband”, she said.
