Facebook plans to merge into an Instagram message service, whatsapp and Messenger.
While all three are currently special apps, at a deeper level they will be connected so that messages can travel among various services. Facebook told the BBC it was at the beginning of a long process.
The plan was first reported by the New York Times and is believed to be a personal project of founder Mark Zuckenberg. Once finished, the merger will make a Facebook user able to communicate directly with someone who has only one account Whatsapp.
This is currently impossible because apps do not have a common connection. Work to melt all three elements has begun, reports New York Times, and is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Zuckenberg is reportedly insisting on an integration plan to make his services more accessible and increase the amount of time people spend on them. By joining all users in a mass group, Facebook can compete with more efficiency with Google and Apple message services. /Periscopi
