One of the Dutch team's top football players has crossed into Reims team.
Kosovo's right-wing striker Zeneli has spoken for the first time as a Ligue 1 team player.
He has claimed that it was difficult to abandon the Swedish national but that he eventually chose his parents ' homeland.
“Yes, it was hard for me because I was part of the team that won European U-21 and then I felt that they wanted to give me a chance, but they never did. That's one of the reasons I chose Kosovo, but it's not the only reason”.
I have also chosen with my heart, since my parents are from Kosovo. Although I was not born there, I have Albanian blood. I'm very attached to my roots. It seemed to be the right decision and I'm proud to be part of this team”, Zeneli said of the club site.
We point out that Reims is in the ninth position of the French elite league's table rank while Zenel was one of the best assisters in Holland.
