The European Commission today imposed a fine of 570m euros on”Mstercard” for artificially increasing card payment costs, at the expense of consumers and around EU businessmen.
The EU competition regulator, the Commission estimated that”Mstercard” has hampered the access of businessmen to cross-border payments services, thus violating regulations concerning abuses of dominant positions.
